Call for Proposals
The
Educational Technology Leadership Conference will
be held December 10-12, 2008, at the Hotel Roanoke and
Conference Center. The conference organizers are soliciting proposals for sessions that demonstrate
successful and innovative projects and initiatives that
use technology to improve and enhance learning. Emphasis
will be given to sessions that target the needs of
technology leadership and focus on these
themes:
- Technology Integration
- Professional Development
- Educational Applications
- Connectivity
- Accountability
- Educational Gaming
- Emerging Technologies
- Internet Safety Experiences
The
proposals must be formatted as one of the
following:
- Lecture: 45-minute session led by one or more
presenters, each addressing the audience
independently
- Panel discussion: 90-minute session with main
presenter serving as a moderator interacting with
copresenter panelists
- Poster: 90-minute sessions in open
environments, with presenters interacting informally
with attendees who visit their stations
- Demonstration: 45-minute formal presentation
with a seated audience
- Hands-on workshop: 105-minute focused hands-on
session limited to a maximum of 20 participants
The
ETL Conference targets technology leadership within
school divisions and decision making that leads to
meaningful technology and learning experiences. Last
year's conference featured some 125 sessions; more than
1,000 participants shared how technology is changing
today's learning environment.

The review process for conference proposals submitted by
the original deadline has begun and lead presenters will be notified of their proposal status during the week of September 29.
For late submitters, we are accepting expedited proposals. To submit an expedited proposal, click on the link at the bottom of this screen.
The status of expedited proposals will be mailed to lead presenters approximately 7-10 days after receipt of the proposal.
